Summary: The Structural Revit/BIM Designer role is a contract position focused on producing high-quality technical documentation and detailed drawing packs within a remote team. The designer will manage Revit models, ensure BIM compliance, and support design coordination across multidisciplinary teams. This position requires proven experience in Revit and BIM design environments, particularly in structural projects. The role is fully remote and requires the designer to have their own equipment and an active Revit license.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce and manage detailed drawing packs, including GA and 2D drawings
- Set up and organise drawing sheets and project documentation within Revit
- Develop and manage Revit models in line with BIM standards
- Work with federated models and ensure BIM compliance
- Support design coordination across multidisciplinary teams
- Contribute to client-facing activities, including model reviews and presentations
- Deliver work to agreed project milestones and deadlines
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in Revit and BIM design environments
- Strong background in technical drawing production and sheet setup
- Experience producing high-quality detailed drawings and documentation
- Experience with federated models and BIM workflows
- Experience working on structural steel or aluminium projects within industrial or construction environments
- Background in engineering, manufacturing, industrial, or technical design environments
- Confident working independently with minimal supervision
- Strong understanding of design and engineering principles
