Summary: The Strategic Workforce Planning Specialist will lead the design and implementation of an in-house Strategic Workforce Planning tool for a prominent client in the Insurance industry. This role requires collaboration with HR and technology teams to develop a scalable framework and ensure stakeholder needs are met. The position involves managing the development process, training, and communication strategies to facilitate successful tool adoption. The contract is temp-to-perm, starting in May 2025 and lasting until December 2025, with potential for internalization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of in-house Strategic Workforce Planning tool working closely with the HR and technology teams.
- Support developing a repeatable, scalable Strategic Workforce Planning blueprint/framework with standardized methodologies and templates based on existing projects.
- Be responsible for the HR/business side management of the development of an in-house SWP tool supported by an internal SWP consultant.
- Define and refine a detailed set of business requirements to ensure the SWP tool development meets all key stakeholder needs.
- Collaborate with technology colleagues to review and adjust development iterations.
- Establish communication material to train and raise awareness of Strategic Workforce Planning across HR and other key stakeholders.
- Plan and deliver testing of the developed SWP tool to ensure business requirements are met.
- Responsible for planning and executing a successful implementation of the SWP tool including change management, training, and communication.
- Work collaboratively with external consultants to rapidly gain a strong working knowledge of the unique version of Strategic Workforce Planning.
- Source, collate, and distil presentations and reports used so far to create standard blueprint with re-usable templates for future Strategic Workforce Planning assignments.
Key Skills:
- Min. 5 years of experience in Strategic Workforce Planning.
- Proven experience leading SWP initiatives within large, global organizations (Financial Services/Insurance is an advantage).
- Experience managing technology projects on business/HR side including defining detailed complex business requirements.
- Collaborating with technology teams on workforce planning.
- Change Management & Communication: Ability to drive adoption through compelling stakeholder engagement and training.
- Hands-on mentality with minimum supervision.
- Business fluency in English.
