Summary: The Strategic Program Manager will oversee customer projects and portfolios from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets. This role involves managing project plans, conducting risk assessments, and collaborating with stakeholders to drive project success. The position requires a strong background in program or project management, with a focus on various methodologies. The role is remote, based in the PST zone, specifically local to California.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and drive success of customer projects and portfolios from start to finish.
- Participate in project reviews and manage disposition of issues and project scope changes.
- Manage project plans collaboratively with project sponsors.
- Review team project work tasks to ensure objectives are met on time and on budget.
- Provide status and progress reviews and conduct risk management analysis as required.
- Seek advice and support from client Project Sponsor and PMO office to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Information technology, computer science, engineering, business or related courses.
- At least 7 years of direct experience in a full-time Program or Project Management role.
- Consulting experience helpful.
- Experienced in project progress and metrics reporting.
- Able to use various project management methodologies, including Safe, agile and waterfall.
- Able to balance critical issue resolution and competing priorities.
- Interested in further growth opportunities and training in Project Management capabilities.
- Previous formal training in project management preferred, including SAFe, Agile Alliance, PMI and PRINCE2 methodologies.
- SAFe certification preferred either 5.0 or 6.0.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders.

Job Description
