Summary: The Storage Architect role involves managing and optimizing storage solutions, particularly with IBM storage hardware and SAN management. Key Responsibilities:

• DFSMS (Data Facility Storage Management Subsystem): IBM Storage Hardware: Experience with IBM DS8000 (DASD), TS7700 (Tape), and GDPS (Geographically Dispersed Parallel Sysplex) Virtual Tape Libraries like Dell/EMC VSM, VLE, and ZFS is valuable.
• IBM Safeguarded Copy.
• Storage Area Network (SAN) Management: Understanding SAN concepts and management, Performance Monitoring and Tuning AND Capacity Planning.

Key Skills:

• Experience with IBM DS8000, TS7700, and GDPS technologies.
• Knowledge of IBM Safeguarded Copy.
