Summary: The Sterling OMS QA - Lead role involves designing, developing, and executing test plans for Order Management System (OMS) functionality. The position requires validating end-to-end order flow processes and performing integration testing with various systems. The candidate will also analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues while participating in Agile ceremonies. Strong hands-on experience with OMS testing and a solid understanding of order lifecycle processes are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for OMS functionality.
- Validate end-to-end order flow processes (Order Creation, Sourcing, Fulfillment, Returns, Cancellations, etc.).
- Perform integration testing with upstream and downstream systems (e.g., eCommerce, ERP, WMS, POS).
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
- Validate data across OMS and backend systems.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
- Maintain traceability of test cases to business requirements.
- Create and maintain test documentation, test scripts, and test data.
Key Skills:
- Hands-on experience testing an Order Management System (OMS).
- Strong understanding of order lifecycle processes (capture, split, allocation, sourcing, shipping, cancellation, returns).
- Solid knowledge of SQL for backend data validation.
- Experience in functional, integration, and regression testing.
- Familiarity with defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SOAP UI).
- Exposure to retail/eCommerce business processes.
- Experience with Manhattan OMS, IBM Sterling OMS, Mule or similar platforms (nice-to-have).
