Role: Workday Extend Developer

Location: 100% Remote – PST

Certification: Workday Extend Certification – Required

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain custom applications using Workday Extend.
• Translate business requirements into scalable Workday Extend solutions.
• Develop custom user experiences and applications within the Workday ecosystem.
• Build and maintain integrations between Workday and external applications.
• Work with Workday APIs and integration technologies to exchange data securely.
• Collaborate with functional teams, business stakeholders, architects, and other developers.
• Configure and develop solutions aligned with Workday business processes.
• Troubleshoot application, integration, and data-related issues.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and production support.
• Ensure solutions follow Workday security, development, and integration best practices.
• Participate in technical design, code reviews, documentation, and deployment activities.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of overall IT / software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Workday Extend.
• Workday Extend Certification – Required.
• Experience developing and supporting custom Workday applications.
• Strong understanding of Workday architecture and business processes.
• Experience with Workday APIs and integrations.
• Strong understanding of web application development concepts.
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and integration technologies.
• Knowledge of Workday security and access-control concepts.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work during PST hours.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multiple Workday modules such as HCM, Financials, Recruiting, or Benefits.
• Experience integrating Workday with third-party enterprise applications.
• Knowledge of Workday integration tools such as Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and Web Services.
• Experience with JSON, XML, REST, SOAP, and related data formats.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Strong documentation and technical design skills.
