Summary: The User Experience Designer role involves collaborating with the User Experience Research & Design team to create interfaces for metric dashboards and web applications. The position requires working closely with various stakeholders to ensure optimal user experiences across multiple products. The designer will conduct user research, create design artifacts, and support the UX team in implementing best practices. This is a remote position for a duration of 6+ months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with product owners, stakeholders, architects, developers, and users to deliver optimal user experiences for applications and metric solutions.
- Conduct, analyze, and organize user research, document user goals, decisions, information needs, tasks, and workflows.
- Plan, execute, and extract insights for user and stakeholder interviews, personas and Jobs to Be Done (JTBDs), usability evaluations and assessments, storyboards, journey maps, user flows, and wireframes, and design artifacts for communication, specification, and testing.
- Design solutions; mockup and prototype interactions.
- A focus on modular reusable design.
- Write Agile development user stories.
- Communicate and present work effectively.
- Support the broader UX team in identifying and implementing UX best practices and accessibility standards.
- Champion user-centered design and design thinking methodologies.
Key Skills:
- 5+ years of experience as a User Experience (UX) designer, interaction designer (UI), or similar role.
- Expertise in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design/prototyping tools.
- An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating relevant experience.
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
- Self-starter with a growth mindset and ability to quickly learn new tools or concepts.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills; able to manage ambiguity.
- Ability to multitask across multiple projects.
- Comfortable collaborating in a dynamic, distributed team environment.
- HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Angular, and JavaScript.
