Effective Data is seeking a Senior EDI Analyst to lead, design, and optimize critical B2B integration workflows at the intersection of retail EDI and complex ERP systems. You will serve as the technical subject matter expert ensuring seamless, real-time data exchange across trading partners, warehouse management systems, and core enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Workflow Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain inbound and outbound EDI transactional flows for retail and 3PL supply chain networks.
- SAP Configuration: Configure and troubleshoot SAP EDI components, specifically focusing on IDoc processing, partner profiles, and port definitions within the Order-to-Cash (O2C) cycle.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with Senior SAP Architects, IT Directors, and enterprise clients to translate business requirements into scalable technical integration specifications.
- Logistics & Warehousing Optimization: Oversee end-to-end mapping and data validation between SAP Warehousing modules, external WMS systems, and logistics providers.
- Operations & Support: Monitor B2B exchanges, drive root-cause analysis for failed transmissions, and maintain SLAs for high-volume retail trading partner networks.
- EDI Standards & Protocols: Deep expertise in ANSI X12 (Retail/3PL transaction sets: 850, 855, 856, 810, 940, 945, 214) and EDIFACT. Proficiency with secure protocols (AS2, SFTP, APIs).
- SAP Architecture: Hands-on mastery of SAP IDocs (structure, extension, error handling), Partner Profiles (WE20), and Process Codes.
- Domain Expertise: Proven background in SAP Order-to-Cash (O2C), SAP Warehousing/MM/SD modules, and large-scale retail supply chains.
- Enterprise Integration: Direct experience integrating core ERPs with middleware platforms (e.g., IBM B2B Integrator, Cleo Harmony/LexiCom) and cloud APIs.
- Soft Skills: Strong client-facing communication skills; ability to interface effectively with both technical mappers and executive stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of dedicated EDI mapping, routing, and system architecture experience.
- Track record of executing complex 3PL integrations for enterprise retail accounts.
- SAP certification or demonstrated lead experience on major SAP S/4HANA or ECC migration initiatives.
