Summary: The Product Manager plays a pivotal role in advancing the Enterprise Platforms & Enablement portfolio by driving the transition from a project-based to a product-centric model and championing the "platform as a product" approach. This role is key to staffing and fostering a product mindset across technology and engineering teams, bridging portfolio strategy to execution, and translating customer needs into solution concepts. Responsibilities include coordinating with stakeholders to create product roadmaps and guiding prioritization based on business value and technical feasibility. A strong IT infrastructure background is required, with expertise in network, Cloud, DevSecOps, Quality Management, and IT operations across complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Ownership: Develop a deep understanding of customers, the market, technology, and trends and align product strategy to achieve prioritized outcomes.
  • Vision, Strategy, and Roadmap: Develop, maintain, and communicate a clear product vision, strategy, and a comprehensive long-term portfolio level product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
  • Prioritization: Guide the prioritization of features and user stories based on business value, customer feedback, and technical feasibility, ensuring the team works on high-priority items.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders, including business leaders, customers, and development teams, to ensure everyone is aligned with the product vision.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Coordinate with Product Manager, Product Owners, Engineering, Architecture, Agility Enablement, and other stakeholders to ensure that features for customers and frontline employees are cohesive and deliver business value towards running a successful passenger railroad.
  • Thought Leadership: Capture, develop, and promote effective Product Management practices within DT and with stakeholders.
  • Agile Framework: Implement and champion the principles of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), ensuring agile methodologies are followed.
  • Metrics and Analysis: Define and track success metrics to measure the value and identify areas for improvement or pivots.
  • Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership, communication, and facilitation skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between business needs and technical delivery.
  • Ability to prioritize and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with Jira Software, Confluence, FigJam, Jira Align, AgilityHealth, and similar tools.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent applied experience.
  • Required: 12-15 years of relevant experience, leadership experience in managing product teams and influencing executive level management and key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience with agile methodologies, with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience preferred.

The Product Manager plays a pivotal role in advancing the Enterprise Platforms & Enablement () portfolio by driving the transition from a project-based to a product-centric model and championing the "platform as a product" approach. EPE supports Client s business lines by modernizing technology infrastructure, improving engineering practices, and enhancing reliability and agility. The portfolio spans across Network, Cloud, DevSecOps, Observability, Quality Enablement, Release Management, and Technology Operations, and will expand to 3 4 Agile Release Trains (ARTs) over upcoming Program Increments. This role is key to staffing and fostering a product mindset across technology and engineering teams.

You will bridge portfolio strategy to execution, translating customer needs into solution concepts that can be delivered by agile teams to achieve business outcomes and financial objectives. Your responsibilities will include coordinating with DT (Product Management, Engineering, Architecture, Agility Enablement) and business stakeholders to create near- to long-term portfolio product roadmaps and set high-level priorities to guide continuous delivery.
