Summary: The role of Sr. Power BI Developer/Architect involves designing, developing, and deploying Power BI dashboards and reports while collaborating with business users to gather reporting requirements. The position requires optimizing report performance and ensuring data accuracy across all outputs. The developer will also manage Power BI Service administration and stay updated with the latest BI trends. This is a remote position for a contract duration of 6-12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.
- Transform raw data into meaningful and visually appealing insights using DAX, Power Query, and data modeling best practices.
- Collaborate with business users to gather and understand reporting requirements.
- Optimize report performance through efficient data modeling and query tuning.
- Manage and publish reports to Power BI Service, set up workspaces, data refresh schedules, and security configurations (RLS).
- Integrate Power BI reports with other applications using embedded analytics capabilities.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all reporting outputs.
- Maintain documentation for data sources, metrics, and BI processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integration, refresh failures, or performance bottlenecks.
- Stay updated with the latest Power BI features, BI tools, and industry trends.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
- 3 6 years of hands-on experience in Power BI development.
- Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M language), and data modeling techniques.
- Experience working with SQL databases, writing complex SQL queries, and integrating multiple data sources.
- Understanding of data warehousing, ETL concepts, and relational databases.
- Experience with Power BI Service administration (workspaces, gateways, RLS, refresh schedules).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
