Sr Network/Threat Implementation Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to work effort and project close-out practices such as database updates, asset tracking, inventory systems, records retention, and the related systems, tools, and process updates.
  • Works with Design Engineering in a “knowledge sharing" capacity in support of adoption of the new technology, systems or process changes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and objectively measure the effects of these efforts over time.
  • Works with Security Architecture and Engineering in a “knowledge sharing” capacity in support of adoption of the new technology, systems or process changes. Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and objectively measure the effects of these efforts over time.
  • Understanding of the Bank’s Network Infrastructure and associated Risk Management practices are highly recommended to remain successful.
  • Knowledge of DMZ Networking and Cisco Routing/Switching is a plus.
  • Owns the technical aspects of a change, end-to-end, including implementation of changes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on engineering experience with enterprise Threat solutions in large-scale or financial environments.
  • Deep engineering experience in Threat platforms, including design, low-level engineering, deployment, and optimization of new hardware and software systems.
  • Hands-on experience upgrading software/hardware, building, operating, and deploying Threat platforms including:
  • SkyHigh Secure Web Gateway
  • F5 SSLO
  • Trellix FireEye
  • Blue Coat ProxySG / Secure Web Gateway
  • Strong understanding of DMZ networking, secure network segmentation, and Cisco routing/switching.
  • Proven ability to lead technical planning, risk mitigation, and deployment sequencing for complex Threat implementations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to follow refined processes with strong attention to detail while continuously identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical issues for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Willingness to volunteer for high-impact work, take ownership of deliverables, and proactively escalate risks.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as required to support change activity.
