Summary: The role of Sr. Network Engineer / Network Project Manager involves joining the Network Operations Team with a focus on tooling and disaster recovery initiatives. The position requires a blend of project management and network engineering skills, emphasizing the enhancement of existing tools and ensuring disaster recovery preparedness. The candidate will also provide technical engineering assistance for various Office 365 services and collaborate with IT staff for effective issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build a learning plan with goals and objectives on identifying areas to focus on, recommendations to research and present, and identify key partner relationships with IT
  • Architect Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Delve, and other M365/O365 services
  • Design Microsoft Teams for 3rd party application integration along with automation processes
  • Implement Office 365 and the suite of products, including Exchange Online, OneDrive, Teams, Yammer, Streams, and SharePoint
  • Maintain knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned areas of responsibility
  • Champion and enhance organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management
  • Identify and recommend process improvements that improve quality across the team, department, and/or business unit
  • Collaborate with other IT staff, including networking, security, and data center operation teams
  • Champion the adoption of Office 365 services as appropriate for the business
  • Assist with the creation of policies around the proper use of Office 365 services and support
  • Lead and complete deployment of return to office monitoring improvements
  • Document and train staff on new monitoring improvements, including alert policy training and modification

Key Skills:

  • 5 - 7+ years experience in IT infrastructure administration
  • Experience with cloud hosting solutions such as Microsoft Azure and Office 365 Administration
  • Understanding and experience with MS Teams direct Routing and Client setup
  • Experience embracing Agile principles, IT Infrastructure design, implementation, and support
  • Experience with automation tools such as Puppet, Chef, and Ansible

  • Joining Network Operations Team
  • Someone who is a Network Engineer with PM background versus hands on engineering would work better
  • Two main initiatives: Tooling and Disaster Recovery

o Tooling:

Heavy tooling role versus hands on work

Need experience with monitoring tools

Will need to enhance existing tools and help with new tooling

Going to be using Thousand Eyes Endpoint Agent (this technology or other competitors would be required)

o Disaster Recovery preparedness:

Optimization of current environment

Ensure redundancy is handled

Ensure policies and procedures are sent to the proper parties

This position will be responsible for providing technical engineering assistance for Office 365 Pro Plus, Exchange Online, Skype for Business, on-prem and online E3 and E5 implementations, Email security, Collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Yammer, WebEx, Cisco telepresence and for unified communication services.

Responsibilities

Experience

* 5 - 7+ Years experience in IT infrastructure administration that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position (Required)

* Experience with cloud hosting solutions such as Microsoft Azure and Office 365 Administration and supporting technologies

* Understanding and experiencing with MS Teams direct Routing and Client setup.

* Experience embracing Agile principles, IT Infrastructure design, implementation, and support.

* Experience with automation tools such as Puppet, Chef, and Ansible; demonstrated ability to design and document complex workflows, automate processes, configurations using Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.

* Experience with electronic messaging and its security (Symantec Enterprise Vault, Data Discovery processes, Zix, ProofPoint, OpenText RightFax).

* Advanced knowledge and experience administering Active Directory, including Group Policy management; user/machine security
