Summary: This role is for a Senior Microsoft Security Consultant who will support and enhance an enterprise cloud security program over a 6-8 month contract. The consultant will lead the integration of Microsoft Security tools in cloud and hybrid environments, providing expert knowledge in various Microsoft security technologies. The position is remote and requires hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender security solutions. The ideal candidate will also have relevant certifications in Microsoft Azure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the integration and operationalization of Microsoft Security tools across enterprise cloud and hybrid environments
- Provide deep technical subject matter expertise across various Microsoft security areas
- Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft cloud security technologies, including Entra ID, Defender for Cloud, XDR, and Purview
- Strong understanding and practical experience with Conditional Access Policies
- Hands-on experience implementing and managing Microsoft Defender security solutions across enterprise environments
- Familiarity with Microsoft Sentinel use case development and tuning
Key Skills:
- Expertise in Microsoft Entra ID and Conditional Access Policies
- Experience with Defender for Cloud, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Cloud Apps, Defender for Identity, and Defender for Office 365
- Knowledge of Microsoft Purview and Microsoft Intune
- Strong understanding of cloud security technologies
- Preferred certifications: AZ-104, AZ-500, AZ-305

- Lead the integration and operationalization of Microsoft Security tools across enterprise cloud and hybrid environments
- Provide deep technical subject matter expertise across the following areas:
- Microsoft Entra ID and Conditional Access Policies
- Defender for Cloud (CSPM, CWP, DevSecOps integration)Microsoft Defender Suite, including Defender for Endpoint Defender for Cloud Apps
- Defender for Identity Defender for Office 365 (with an emphasis on email protection)
- Microsoft Purview (Information Protection Compliance)Microsoft Sentinel (configuration and tuning – nice to have)Microsoft Intune (endpoint management and security policy enforcement)
- Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft cloud security technologies, including Entra ID, Defender for Cloud, XDR, and Purview
- Strong understanding and practical experience with Conditional Access Policies (required)
- Hands-on experience implementing and managing Microsoft Defender security solutions across enterprise environments
