Summary: The Sr. Mainframe Network Engineer role involves managing and supporting mainframe hardware infrastructure, storage, disaster recovery, and network management, specifically within z15/z16 environments. Key Responsibilities:
- Support and manage mainframe hardware (z15/z16/HMC/DS8000/TS7700/TS4500/FlashSystems).
- Configure and manage Cisco or Brocade SAN switches using SANNAV tools.
- Oversee firewalls, proxy policy management, and high availability solutions.
- Manage enterprise disaster recovery, data replication, and backup processes.
- Work with IBM z/OS (Mainframe), z/VM (zLinux), and FICON configurations.
- Perform Mainframe IO GEN tasks and monitor system performance.
- Utilize ServiceNow (incident, change management, CMDB) & Jira for workflow.
- Develop automation scripts using Linux Bash, Python, and RESTful APIs.
