As a Data Governance, Responsible for managing the end-to-end stakeholder process for creating and maintaining purpose-based roles in Snowflake, ensuring data access is appropriately scoped, governed, and validated.
Responsibilities
- Stakeholder Requirements Gathering Engage with business stakeholders to understand their data access needs Document intended use cases and identify the specific data required.
- Role Assessment & Design Evaluate existing Snowflake roles for suitability against business requirements.
- Determine whether to leverage, modify, or create a new purpose-based role Ensure roles align with data governance and least-privilege principles.
- Role Implementation Adjust existing roles or build new ones based on assessment outcomes.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure proper configuration and compliance Testing & Validation.
- Conduct thorough testing of new or updated roles.
- Verify access permissions meet business needs without exceeding defined scope Confirm roles function as intended before deployment

Educational Qualifications
- Engineering Degree BE/ME/BTech/MTech/BSc/MSc.
Mandatory skills
Experience with Snowflake role-based access control (RBAC).
