Job Overview
A 10+ year Senior Finance Professional who can lead the financial evaluation of major Energy projects and Capital Expenditure Requests (CERs) and turn complex analysis into clear executive recommendations.
Core responsibilities
- Build and challenge business cases and CERs from concept through approval.
- Build advanced Excel financial models with scenarios, sensitivities, stress tests, and documented assumptions.
- Evaluate NPV, IRR, ROIC, payback, risk, and investment trade-offs.
- Recommend whether projects/investments should proceed.
- Present analysis and recommendations to executive leadership.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, Commercial, Strategy, and Finance.
- Establish consistent business-case/CER standards and methodologies.
- Review actual vs. projected results after investment.
Must-have profile
- 10+ years progressive finance experience.
- Strong financial modeling + capital budgeting/investment analysis.
- Expert Excel; strong PowerPoint.
- Proven executive communication and influencing skills.
- Comfortable working independently in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.
- Energy, utilities, infrastructure, marine, logistics, or other capital-intensive industry preferred.
