Summary: The Senior Consultant, Data and AI role involves leading client relationships while also engaging in technical work. The consultant will be responsible for project outcomes, advising on infrastructure strategy, and architecting data pipelines. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and client-facing skills to drive AI strategy and implementation projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Own the client relationship and project governance alongside the executive sponsor
- Translate complex technical work into clear, business-relevant recommendations for stakeholders
- Lead data science and data engineering workstreams within AI strategy and implementation projects
- Assess client data ecosystems and architect scalable, secure Data and AI infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Databricks, Snowflake)
- Design data pipelines, analytics workflows, and ML models
- Advise on cloud strategy, cost optimization, data governance, and MLOps maturity
- Facilitate workshops, lead client meetings, and mentor junior team members
Key Skills:
- 10+ years in data science, data engineering, or applied AI — ideally in consulting or professional services
- Proven client-facing experience: stakeholder management, executive communication, project leadership
- Strong hands-on skills in Python, SQL, Spark, and at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Experience building data lakes/warehouses/lakehouses (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift)
- MLOps and infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform, CloudFormation) a strong plus
- Comfort managing ambiguity and competing priorities in fast-paced client engagements
