Position Overview
Our Client is seeking a Senior Cisco Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the implementation of Private VLAN (PVLAN) segmentation within a Cisco UCS and VMware environment.
This consultant will work directly with client's engineering team to validate architecture, assist with implementation, troubleshoot technical challenges, and provide guidance for PCI-compliant network segmentation.
The consultant will focus on the initial implementation and knowledge transfer, enabling Client's internal engineering team to complete the remaining deployment activities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8+ years of Cisco enterprise networking experience.
- Expert-level Cisco UCS experience.
- Strong Cisco Nexus switching experience.
- Advanced knowledge of VLANs, Private VLANs (PVLAN), trunking, and Layer 2 networking.
- VMware vSphere and VMware Distributed Switch (VDS) experience.
- Experience supporting enterprise data center environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and architecture skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
