SQL Server DBA

Responsibilities

• Administer and support SQL Server databases.
• Monitor database health, performance, and availability.
• Perform database backups, restores, and recovery operations.
• Troubleshoot database issues and performance problems.
• Perform basic to intermediate SQL query and index tuning.
• Support SQL Server upgrades, patching, and migrations.
• Manage database users, roles, and permissions.
• Support SQL Server HA/DR environments.
• Work with developers and infrastructure teams on database-related issues.
• Maintain database documentation and operational procedures.
• Participate in production support and incident resolution.

Required Qualifications

• 4-8+ years of SQL Server DBA experience.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server administration.
• Experience with T-SQL.
• Experience with backup and recovery.
• Knowledge of performance monitoring and tuning.
• Experience with database security and user management.
• Ability to troubleshoot production database issues.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
