Summary: The SPM ServiceNow Developer role involves designing, developing, and implementing ServiceNow SPM solutions to meet complex business requirements. The position requires collaboration with requesters and project teams to refine business requirements and ensure effective functionality delivery. The developer will also be responsible for configuring the ServiceNow platform and integrating it with other enterprise systems while adhering to Agile methodologies. This is a contract position based in the UK, with a focus on enhancing user experience and maintaining compliance with vendor upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist requesters in refining business requirement details.
  • Gain knowledge of overall ServiceNow implementation to identify cross-platform impacts.
  • Design, develop, and implement SPM solutions including workflows, catalog items, workspaces, and integrations.
  • Configure and customize the ServiceNow platform using JavaScript and ServiceNow APIs.
  • Design and implement workflows to support business needs and increase automation.
  • Develop and configure integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems.
  • Work within the Agile methodology to develop, build, and test alongside other developers.
  • Collaborate with implementation partners or internal project teams to implement new modules.
  • Assist with regular ServiceNow version upgrades to ensure compliance and support.

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a relevant technical field.
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer.
  • At least 3+ years experience working with the ServiceNow platform, specifically in the SPM module.
  • Good familiarity with ITSM and the general ServiceNow platform.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow API web services.
  • Proven experience with integrating ServiceNow with other applications.

Job Specific Responsibilities:

  • Have the ability to assist requesters in refining business requirement details to ensure the customers will be receiving functionality requested.
  • Gain knowledge of our overall ServiceNow implementation to understand and identify cross platform impacts of changes or enhancements being requested.
  • Design, develop, and implement SPM solutions including workflows, catalog items, workspaces, and integrations to meet complex business requirements
  • Configure and customize the ServiceNow platform using javascript and ServiceNow APIs to extend capabilities and enhance user experience
  • Design and implement workflows to support business needs and increase automation
