Summary: We are seeking an experienced AWS EKS and Terraform Specialist to design, deploy, and manage containerized workloads in AWS using Kubernetes and Infrastructure-as-Code principles. The role involves developing scalable and secure infrastructure solutions to support cloud initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS services, particularly EKS, and hands-on experience with Terraform. This position requires collaboration with various teams to ensure efficient deployment and operation of services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters using Amazon EKS
- Develop and maintain Terraform modules and scripts for infrastructure provisioning and management
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for deploying applications into Kubernetes environments
- Optimize cluster configurations for performance, security, and cost efficiency
- Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of services
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for EKS environments
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, deployments, and container orchestration
- Maintain documentation for infrastructure designs, standards, and best practices
- Participate in on-call rotation for production support as required
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 4+ years of experience working with AWS services, particularly EKS
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform for Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture, components, and operations
- Experience in deploying, managing, and troubleshooting containerized applications
- Solid knowledge of networking concepts, security best practices, and IAM in AWS
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK)
- Proficiency with Git and version control practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
