The Mandate Wentworth Black Group is hunt-ready. We are an operational private equity platform currently undergoing a total structural overhaul, new team, new infrastructure, zero sentimentality. We are targeting the UK healthcare recruitment sector. The market is full of "zombie" agencies: founders who secured massive NHS frameworks or private healthcare contracts but are currently drowning in "chaotic" operations, cash-flow pressure, and stagnant revenue. We don't just "help" them. We institutionalise them. We fix the plumbing, install the governance, and then we acquire them. We are building a lean team of Analyst-Originators to find these specific targets before we go full throttle.
The Hunt: You aren't looking for happy businesses. You’re looking for contract-rich, cash-poor recruitment firms in the £250k–£7m bracket.
The Target: A healthcare recruitment agency with a seat on a major framework but a founder who has outgrown their own systems.
The Play: You find them, you audit them, you bring them into the WBG transformation engine.
The Profile: Our Standard If you need a basic salary to feel secure, don't finish this sentence. We pay for origination and intellect, not for showing up. We need you to:
- Deconstruct a Balance Sheet: Identify the exact point where a recruitment desk’s margin is being eaten by operational friction.
- Model the Upside: Prove to us (and the founder) that their stagnant contract is a £5M asset if managed by WBG.
- Speak the Language: Move comfortably between a stressed founder’s kitchen table and our institutional boardrooms.
- Execute with Autonomy: We provide the tools (Sales Nav, CRM, WBG Proprietary Scripts), but you provide the hunger.
Your P&L: We don't offer a safety net because we don't want people who plan on falling. 35% Upfront Commission on closed transformation fees. 3% Downstream Revenue Tail: You earn on every successful placement and every pound of revenue the agency generates under our management. £10,000–£20,000 Bonus upon growth capital deployment. No Salary. No Draw. No Training. We expect you to be a finished product.
The Ground Floor: Wentworth Black is changing. The website is being rebuilt, the team is being purged, and the mandate is sharpening. This is the period of maximum opportunity before the gates close and the entry requirements double. Are you a Deal Originator or just a salesman? If it’s the former, tell me why you know the healthcare recruitment market is ripe for the taking.
