Summary: An experienced Solution Architect is sought to join the Architecture team on a 6-month contract, primarily working remotely with occasional travel. The role demands a dynamic individual with extensive technical expertise and strong stakeholder management skills to design and govern solutions for complex business needs. The successful candidate will ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles while engaging with senior stakeholders and collaborating with delivery teams. Security clearance is required, and candidates must be British Citizens eligible for SC Clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead solution architecture design for large-scale programmes across multiple technology domains.
- Engage with senior stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into robust architectural solutions.
- Define and maintain architectural standards, patterns, and governance processes.
- Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure solutions are implemented according to design.
- Support pre-sales and bid activities by providing architectural input and technical leadership.
- Drive handover and knowledge transfer between teams to maintain continuity across projects.
Key Skills:
- Strong understanding of application, data, integration, and infrastructure architectures.
- Solid AWS knowledge.
- Familiarity with TOGAF or similar frameworks.
- Stakeholder management, a proven ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels.
- Experienced in designing end-to-end solutions for complex programmes.
- Demonstrated leadership in architecture roles.
- Desirable: AWS certifications.
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Exposure to security and compliance considerations in cloud environments.
- Exposure to other cloud platforms (Azure, GCP).
- Understanding of AI/ML technologies and their use cases.
- Experience in regulated environments or large transformation programmes.
- Knowledge of security and compliance considerations in solution design.
