Summary: The role of Solution Design Authority involves taking ownership of low-level customer solutions and leading the end-to-end delivery of complex WAN projects. This position requires active SC clearance and is primarily remote with occasional site visits to Corsham and Farnborough. The contract is for an initial duration of three months, with an immediate start expected. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with QoS implementation in enterprise WAN/LAN environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce end-to-end review of existing QoS implementation and create both High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents for proposed QoS changes and configurations.
  • Provide technical leadership and accountability for the end-to-end design, development, delivery, and testing of complex customer WAN solutions.
  • Lead a virtual team and work closely with the Project Manager to ensure technical assurance and governance.
  • Conduct low-level discovery of existing architectures and manage the transition to new customer solutions.
  • Review, sign off, and own pre-sales High-Level Designs and Statements of Requirements.
  • Translate high-level designs into detailed technical deliverables through a Solution Integration Statement of Work.
  • Identify and manage technical risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies throughout delivery.
  • Operate Solution Integration governance processes and hold internal and external teams accountable.
  • Plan and coordinate technical activities across customer, internal, and third-party stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with technical, service, and delivery teams.
  • Bring extensive experience in delivering large-scale IT/Telco projects with deep knowledge of WAN/LAN solutions and leadership in fixed product markets.

We’re seeking an SC Cleared Solution Design Authority to take ownership of low-level customer solutions and lead end-to-end delivery of complex WAN projects.

This is an initial 3-month contract requiring active SC clearance. Immediate start, ideally summer 2025. The role is primarily remote, with occasional site visits to Corsham and Farnborough, Suffolk as needed.

Applicants must have hands-on experience with QoS implementation, including design, configuration, and optimisation across enterprise WAN/LAN environments.

This is a chance to work with an established globally recognised Digital, IT and Network Services Consultancy.
