Summary: The role of Solution Architect involves onboarding and integrating new solutions into existing business systems for a plc client. The position requires strong stakeholder management and communication skills, along with high-level design experience. The architect will collaborate with various teams to ensure alignment between business needs and technical delivery. This is a fully remote, 6-month contract role with the potential for extension through 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and document end-to-end solution architectures, producing High-Level Designs for governance approval.
  • Lead technology option assessments, integration approaches, and data architecture design.
  • Facilitate vendor selection, licensing discussions, and service transition.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and align solutions to business needs.
  • Provide architectural oversight during pilots, rollout, and transition into BAU.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect, with expertise in onboarding applications into existing business environments.
  • Strong background in application, data, and integration architecture.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Able to act as the glue between PM, BA other IT Teams (security, infrastructure).
  • Ability to work in environments with low delivery maturity, joining the dots across teams to drive coherent outcomes.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to shape business requirements into practical solutions.
  • Broad knowledge across IT domains (infrastructure, data, security, service transition).
  • Architecture certification (TOGAF, Archimate) desirable.

Salary (Rate): £600 daily

We are looking for a contract Solution Architect with experience of onboarding and integrating new solutions into existing business systems for our plc client. We are seeking a Solution Architect who combines good stakeholder management and communication skills, high-level design experience and experience in selecting, onboarding and integrating new software solutions.

The role:

The Solution Architect will work closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, IT teams, and business stakeholders, bridging the gap between business needs and technical delivery
