Summary: The role of AWS Data Architect involves leading the design and architecture of a new AWS cloud data platform, transitioning from legacy systems. The position is remote with occasional travel and is offered on a market day rate basis outside of IR35 regulations. The contract is initially for six months, with potential for extensions. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and architect the new AWS cloud data platform.

- Utilize proficiency in tools such as Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, and Apache Flink.

Fruition IT are looking for an experienced AWS Data Architect with extensive experience working across data platforms to join a well-recognised, highly regulated software focused business.
As the Data Architect, you will take responsibility for the platform design and architecture ahead of a migration from Legacy to a brand new AWS cloud data platform.
Data Architect Requirements:
- Experience with AWS cloud data platforms
- Strong understanding of the role of architecture in enterprise data projects
- Proven commercial experience migrating on prem solutions to the cloud, including re-architecting
- Prior experience working on data focused projects eg data warehousing, big data, data streaming
- Proficiency with Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, Apache Flink etc.
