Summary: The Software Tester for Informatica MDM will lead end-to-end testing efforts for Informatica MDM implementations, focusing on data validation, test strategy management, and defect lifecycle ownership. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure alignment with business and data quality requirements while also mentoring junior team members. The position is fully remote and emphasizes the development of automated test scripts and comprehensive documentation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software testing, particularly with Informatica MDM and related tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute end-to-end testing efforts for Informatica MDM implementations, including:
    • Data model validation
    • Match/merge logic
    • Data stewardship workflows
  • Define and manage comprehensive test strategies, plans, and test cases for MDM components and integrations.
  • Validate data pipelines, mappings, and transformations involving Informatica MDM, IDQ, and ETL tools.
  • Conduct performance, regression, and integration testing of:
    • SIF APIs
    • Hub Console
    • External system interfaces
  • Collaborate closely with business analysts, data architects, and developers to ensure testing aligns with business and data quality requirements.
  • Own and manage the defect lifecycle, performing root cause analysis and driving timely resolution of critical issues.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts for MDM workflows using automation tools as applicable.
  • Act as a QA lead within Agile teams, contributing to sprint planning, retrospectives, and continuous improvement of QA processes.
  • Mentor junior QA team members in MDM testing techniques and best practices.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of test results, test environments, and test configurations using tools like JIRA, TestRail, or HP ALM.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in software testing/QA roles.
  • 3-4+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica MDM (version 10.x or higher).
