Summary: The role of Oracle PL/SQL Developer involves designing, building, and operating critical data structures and data pipelines within the healthcare industry. This hands-on engineering position requires expertise in Oracle PL/SQL development and the ability to deliver production-grade database solutions. The ideal candidate will work in a fast-paced Agile environment, collaborating with various teams to ensure high-quality code and system performance. Immediate contribution and proficiency with Oracle PL/SQL and Jenkins are essential from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL data structures, stored procedures, packages, triggers, and database logic.
- Build and operate data pipelines and data processing workflows supporting enterprise applications and analytics.
- Own features end-to-end, including design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Write high-quality, maintainable, and performant code with strong attention to scalability, reliability, and observability.
- Create testable and observable components, including instrumentation and monitoring where appropriate.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as VS Code Copilot and Claude Code to accelerate development workflows.
- Integrate development workflows with CI/CD pipelines, particularly using Jenkins.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, including performance tuning, query optimization, and root cause analysis.
- Participate in unit testing, integration testing, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with architects, software engineers, data engineers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to deliver robust solutions.
- Communicate technical issues, risks, and recommendations effectively to engineering leadership.
- Mentor junior team members and promote software engineering best practices.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Equivalent professional experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience in enterprise environments.
- Deep expertise in Oracle PL/SQL development, including stored procedures, packages, triggers, query development, and database performance tuning.
- Experience designing, developing, and supporting data pipelines and data-driven applications.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong experience with SQL performance optimization, troubleshooting, and database scalability.

Our client in the healthcare industry is seeking an Oracle PL/SQL developer with expertise to design, build, and operate critical data structures, business logic, and data pipelines that support enterprise applications and analytics platforms.
This is a hands-on engineering role responsible for delivering production-grade database solutions and owning features end-to-end, from architecture and design through development, deployment, and production support. The ideal candidate will be highly experienced with Oracle PL/SQL development, comfortable working with complex data models and high-volume data processing, and capable of delivering high-quality code quickly using AI-assisted development tools such as VS Code Copilot and Claude Code.
The role requires an engineer who can build testable, observable, and scalable components, maintain strong system performance, and collaborate closely with engineering and data teams in a fast-paced Agile development environment.
