Software Engineer

Summary: The Software Engineer role focuses on designing, coding, testing, and managing applications, particularly in the context of SaaS and Oracle Simphony. The position requires collaboration with engineering and product teams to ensure high-quality software development. This is a fully remote contract role for an initial duration of three months, with a competitive daily rate. Candidates should have extensive experience with JavaScript and Oracle Simphony, along with strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, code, test and manage various applications
• Experience developing SaaS/Software products
• Debug code
• Collaborate with engineering team and product team to establish best products
• Follow outlined standards of quality related to code and systems
• Work closely with front-end developers in building and extending APIs
• Develop automated tests and conduct performance tuning

Key Skills:

• Experience with JavaScript & Oracle Simphony
• Experience building & integrating APIs
• Excellent knowledge of SQL
• Familiar with AWS or similar
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of practices and procedures for full software design life cycle
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field
• 5+ years of experience working with JavaScript / Oracle Simphony
• Experience within the financial sector (bonus)
• Experience with Gitlab
