  • Proven ability to develop RESTful APIs, utilizing JSON and HTTP protocols.
  • Expertise in concurrency management with Goroutines & Channels.
  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles.
  • Experience with databases such as MySQL/PostgreSQL.
  • Proficiency with DevOps tools including Docker, Linux, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to write comprehensive unit and integration tests.

Software Engineer – Golang

6 months contract – 40 hours per week – 105 EUR per hour (+VAT) Independent Contractor – fully remote

We’re seeking a talented Software Engineer II to own critical technical elements within Booking.com’s cutting-edge platform. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs, primarily utilising Go (Golang) and cloud-native technologies. Your expertise will contribute to building robust microservices, optimising system performance, and ensuring high-quality, maintainable code. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, translating business needs into innovative technical solutions, all while adhering to the highest standards of test automation and continuous improvement.

Required Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Go (Golang) with 4+ years of professional experience
