Summary: The Software Engineer/DevOps Contractor role focuses on providing support for a global professional services organization through back-end software development, AWS cloud operations, and DevOps automation. Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining Back End services and APIs using Node.js and Python
- Working with Python frameworks such as Flask and/or FastAPI
- Supporting AWS infrastructure across EC2, RDS and Elastic Beanstalk
- Maintaining Docker/container environments and registry tooling
- Creating and maintaining Ansible playbooks for automation and configuration management
- Supporting Linux infrastructure, service management, patching and Shell Scripting
- Maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Bitbucket
- Supporting DevOps, cloud and automation projects
- Documenting systems and providing knowledge transfer during the contract

- Strong hands-on software engineering background
- Production experience with Node.js and Python
- Backend API development experience
- Hands-on AWS infrastructure experience
- Strong Docker and containerisation experience
- Strong Ansible automation experience
- Linux administration/Shell Scripting
