Summary: The role of Software Engineer 3 involves a 4-month contract with the possibility of extension, focusing on modern data engineering and cloud technologies. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data engineering solutions using cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
  • Design and optimize data warehousing and dimensional data models.
  • Utilize ETL/ELT tools for data integration and transformation.
  • Work with big data tools and programming languages like PySpark and Spark SQL.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate project progress.
  • Stay updated with data warehouse best practices and methodologies.

Key Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering and cloud technologies, preferably Azure.
  • 12+ years of experience with SQL and dimensional data modeling.
  • Knowledge of data warehouse best practices and development standards.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as ADF, Informatica, and Talend.
  • Strong skills in big data tools and programming in PySpark and Spark SQL.
  • 2+ years of experience with Power BI and 5+ years with reporting/visualization tools like Tableau.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Must Have Skills
  • Minimum 5+ years (Onsite resources) / 2+ years (Offshore resources) experience in modern data engineering, data warehousing, and data lakes technologies on cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Data Bricks etc. Azure experience is preferred over other cloud platforms.
  • Minimum 12+ years (Onsite resources) / 5+ years (Offshore resources) of proven experience with SQL, schema design, and dimensional data modelling.
  • Solid knowledge of data warehouse best practices, development standards, and methodologies.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools like ADF, Informatica, Talend, and data warehousing technologies like Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, Google Big Query etc.
  • Strong experience with big data tools (Databricks, Spark etc.) and programming skills in PySpark and Spark SQL.
  • Be an independent self-learner with a let s get this done approach and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Additional Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience with Power BI.
