Summary: The role of Software Developer in Test (SDET) involves developing and maintaining automated tests to ensure quality across platforms within a fast-paced Technology team. The position emphasizes a shift-left testing approach and the integration of automation in CI/CD pipelines. The SDET will also provide technical guidance on best practices and contribute to the improvement of automation frameworks. This is a remote position with a 4-day working week, lasting between 6 to 9 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automated functional tests using modern frameworks (eg Appium, Selenium).
- Drive a shift-left testing approach and embed automation in CI/CD pipelines.
- Create and manage test data and contribute to automation framework improvements.
- Provide technical guidance on automation and unit testing best practices.
- Analyse existing automation and propose enhancements.
Key Skills:
- Experience testing native apps using Appium.
- Experience as a senior App Automation tester.
- Solid experience building automated tests for native apps (Android and iOS).
- Skilled in Java and automating tests across UI, API, and microservices.
- Familiar with component, integration, end-to-end, and non-functional testing.
- Proficient with automation tools: Appium, Postman, Selenium, Gitlab.
