Sociology Tutor - AS/A-Level (Remote)

Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Tutor specializing in KS2, KS3, GCSE, AS and A-Level curriculum. The tutor will be responsible for planning and delivering comprehensive and engaging lessons, developing teaching materials, and preparing students for exams. They will assess students' progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs.

Qualifications Thorough knowledge of subject matter Excellence in communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Ability to assess progress effectively and offer constructive, personalized feedback Strong organizational and time management abilities Experience with innovative teaching methods and engagement strategies Possession of, or the ability to obtain, relevant teaching qualifications and certifications Prior experience in tutoring AS or A-Level Sociology is highly desirable Proven teaching, lesson planning, and course preparation skills is highly desirable

About this specific role We have an AS-Level student who is looking for a minimum of 1 hour per week of Sociology lessons, with potential to increase hours during official exams If successful with this student, you will be our on-call Sociology tutor - this means any requests from other students for Sociology will come to you first To be successful in this role, you will need to have good communication skills and be able to relate to the students. This is perhaps the most important skill to retain students with us. This role is on a contract basis. Pay varies depending on experience, starting from £20ph to £45ph+ for experienced teachers.
