Summary: The role of Social Media Specialist at a travel tech company involves remote work focused on community engagement for a 12-month contract. The specialist will monitor social media channels, draft content, and support various communications initiatives while managing sensitive communications. Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor emergent issues across social media channels.
- Work cross-functionally on communications initiatives involving Community Support and Trust operations, Policy, Regulatory, Corporate, and Crisis Management.
- Draft copy and publish content across different channels.
- Assist with developing playbooks and guidance on best practices.
- Measure campaign/project effectiveness.
- Support management of sensitive, high-risk reactive & proactive communications on social media channels.
- Support local EMEA teams with reputational flagging and management.
- Provide guidance on urgent posts, ‘handoffs’, and various escalations.
- Monitor queues and highlight issues regarding volume to Lead(s).
- Gather and analyze data for reporting, deep dives, performance insights, and quality.
- Assist Lead when out of office, as needed.
- Support upskilling and onboarding of new teammates.
- Support writing response strategies.
- Drive initiatives and projects with regional/global impacts.
Key Skills:
- Experience working on projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Multi-channel issues and crisis management experience.
- Experience working on cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal communications and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Sprinklr or other social media monitoring tools is a plus.
- Experience with internal tools like Nova to aid investigation is a plus.
- Language proficiency in English; other languages are a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
