Position : Snowflake Developer with Manufacturing vertical
Location : Charlotte, NC/REMOTE
- Strong Snowflake skill with Manufacturing vertical background
- Experience in working onshore / offshore model, not individual contributor
- Candidate is expected to be driving and own project delivery from onshore with offshore team.
Day to Day job Duties:
- Design, develop, and optimize Snowflake data solutions supporting manufacturing and Integrated Supply Chain business processes.
- Extract and ingest data from multiple source systems using Fivetran and Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS), ensuring reliable, scalable, and auditable data pipelines.
- Develop and maintain Snowflake objects, including databases, schemas, tables, views, streams, tasks, stored procedures, functions, stages, file formats, and secure data-sharing components.
- Perform data transformation, integration, and validation activities to deliver trusted datasets for supply chain planning, procurement, inventory, logistics, manufacturing operations, and related reporting use cases.
- Collaborate directly with clients and business stakeholders to gather, clarify, and analyse functional and technical requirements.
- Analyze source-to-target mappings, business rules, data dependencies, and data-quality requirements in collaboration with business analysts, architects, and client stakeholders.
- Prepare deployment packages and deploy Snowflake, Fivetran, and IICS objects to QA and Production environments in accordance with release-management and change-control procedures. Develop, schedule, monitor, troubleshoot, and deploy Control-M jobs and workflows across development, QA, and Production environments.
- Coordinate with offshore teams to manage Control-M configurations, dependencies, calendars, alerts, and production deployment activities, and validate successful execution after release.
- Manage Opsera-based CI/CD development and deployment activities, including pipeline configuration, release orchestration, approvals, environment promotion, and deployment of Snowflake and related data integration objects across Development, QA, and Production environments.
- Monitor deployment execution, troubleshoot pipeline failures, coordinate with offshore teams, and perform post-deployment validation.
- Coordinate with security team for masking review and security testing.
- Coordinate with the offshore development team and operations team to plan and execute QA and Production deployments, including prerequisite checks, deployment sequencing, rollback planning, and post-deployment validation.
- Execute functional, integration, regression, and production smoke testing; reconcile data across source and target systems and document test evidence and results.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with client business and IT teams, track defects, investigate data and application issues, and provide timely status updates.
- Debug UAT, QA, and Production issues by performing root-cause analysis across Snowflake, Fivetran, IICS, source systems, orchestration workflows, and downstream reporting layers.
- Work closely with offshore developers to implement fixes, complete peer reviews, retest resolved issues and promote approved changes through the deployment lifecycle.
- Monitor pipeline performance, data freshness, failed jobs, warehouse utilization, and query performance; proactively recommend improvements for reliability, cost, and scalability.
- Maintain technical documentation, deployment runbooks, test cases, operational support guides, and knowledge-transfer materials.
- Attend daily Scrum meetings, client requirement discussions, backlog-grooming sessions, sprint-planning meetings, deployment reviews, UAT discussions, and other project meetings scheduled during US business hours.
- Collaborate with onsite and offshore teams to provide status updates, clarify requirements, resolve blockers, and support timely project delivery.
- Maintain timely and accurate JIRA story updates, including status, progress, estimates, dependencies, risks, blockers, testing results, deployment details, and acceptance criteria.

Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 10+ years of overall experience in data engineering, data warehousing, ETL/ELT, or analytics-platform development.
- Minimum 6+ years of hands-on Snowflake development experience on enterprise implementation or modernization projects.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience building and supporting data ingestion pipelines using Fivetran and/or Informatica IICS.
- Strong hands-on experience with advanced SQL, dimensional data modeling, performance tuning, query optimization, and Snowflake cost-management practices.
- Experience in manufacturing-domain projects, specifically within Integrated Supply Chain functions
- Experience in handling data from SAP source systems Degree: Bachelors in computer science or equivalent work experience
