Snowflake Cortex Semantic & Agent Engineer - Remote

The Opportunity

We are looking for a highly experienced Snowflake Cortex Semantic & Agent Engineer to build governed Finance AI capabilities using Snowflake Cortex.

This is a highly specialist engineering role focused on Cortex Skills, Cortex Agents, semantic models, Talk-to-Data experiences and reusable AI skill packages.

You will connect AI agents to approved semantic models and business context, while improving response quality through verified queries, evaluation, testing and feedback loops.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and configure Snowflake Cortex Skills and Cortex Agents.
• Develop Talk-to-Data capabilities.
• Design and implement Cortex semantic models.
• Connect agents to governed semantic models and enterprise data.
• Develop reusable tools and skill packages.
• Implement verified queries and semantic grounding.
• Improve AI response accuracy and coverage.
• Build evaluation and regression testing processes.
• Develop golden datasets and automated quality checks.
• Integrate AI agents with APIs, tools and enterprise services.
• Develop Python-based integrations.
• Work with REST APIs and JSON services.
• Implement secure and observable agent integration.
• Support Finance AI use cases.
• Document solutions and contribute to Agile delivery.

MANDATORY Requirements: Candidates must have both:

• Hands-on experience designing or implementing Snowflake Cortex semantic models.
• Demonstrable working knowledge of the COCO SDK and its use for context or agent integration.

Candidates without both COCO SDK and Cortex semantic modelling experience should not be shortlisted.
