Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architecture and design of Snowflake-based data platforms
  • Support the migration of existing GCP data workloads into Snowflake
  • Define best practices for data modelling, performance optimisation and governance
  • Design scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines
  • Work closely with data engineers, platform teams and stakeholders to deliver the migration
  • Ensure the solution aligns with enterprise data architecture standards
  • Provide technical guidance on Snowflake optimisation, security and cost management
  • Contribute to architectural decisions across the broader cloud data ecosystem

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience as a Snowflake Architect or Senior Data Architect
  • Proven experience delivering Snowflake implementations or migrations
  • Experience working with GCP-based data platforms
  • Strong knowledge of modern data warehouse architecture and data modelling
  • Experience designing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Solid understanding of cloud data architecture patterns
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and consultancy experience
  • Nice to Have: Experience working with Apache Iceberg tables
  • Experience working within Media, Entertainment or Digital content organisations
  • Knowledge of data lakehouse architectures
  • Experience with modern orchestration or data transformation tooling

Client: Global Consultancy (End Client: Media Industry)

We are working with a global consultancy supporting a major media industry client who are undertaking a large-scale data platform transformation. As part of this programme, they are migrating their existing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data environment to Snowflake and require an experienced Snowflake Architect to help design and deliver the new architecture. This is a 12-month contract engagement paying £500 per day Outside IR35, offering the opportunity to work on a high-profile data transformation programme within a fast-paced media environment.
