Summary: The Sitefinity Developer role is a long-term remote position focused on developing and maintaining applications using Sitefinity, a .NET-based content management system. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in C# and ASP.NET, along with experience in web development technologies and practices. Additional skills in AWS and Sitefinity content management are advantageous but not mandatory. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain applications using Sitefinity and .NET technologies.
  • Implement and troubleshoot web applications using ASP.NET and modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Manage content and data storage using SQL Server.
  • Integrate with other systems using REST APIs and JSON.
  • Utilize Git for version control and CI/CD processes.
  • Ensure web application performance, security, and compliance with best practices.

Mandatory Skills

C# / .NET (Sitefinity is primarily .NET-based)

ASP.NET (often MVC) and/or ASP.NET Core (depending on Sitefinity version/architecture)

HTML, CSS, JavaScript (plus a modern JS framework sometimes, depending on the front end)

Razor (common in .NET web UI work)

SQL Server basics (content/data storage, troubleshooting, querying)

REST APIs / JSON (integrations with other systems)

Git + CI/CD basics (deployments, environments, release workflow)

Web fundamentals: authentication/authorization, caching, performance, security basics (OWASP concepts help)

GitHub branching strategies
