SharePoint Architect/Consultant
This isn't a SharePoint content administration or general tidy-up contract.
You'll take ownership of restructuring a large, established SharePoint Intranet containing hundreds of historic sites, duplicated content and outdated information.
The business has already started auditing and archiving content. They now need an experienced SharePoint Architect or Senior Consultant to turn the existing restructure plan into a practical, scalable SharePoint environment.
You'll be responsible for:
- Implementing a hub-and-spoke SharePoint information architecture.
- Planning and supporting the migration and restructuring of existing sites.
- Defining governance covering ownership, naming, permissions and site creation.
- Recommending configuration, automation and tools that prevent content becoming unmanageable again.
You won't be expected to manually refactor every document. The internal team will handle much of the detailed content work.
Your job is to design the right structure, configure it properly and give them clear governance they can maintain once the project ends.
You'll need strong hands-on SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 experience, including previous delivery of information architecture, Intranet restructuring or migration projects.
Experience working across Confluence environments would be useful, but not essential.
The project is due to start as soon as possible.
