Summary: The ServiceNow SME role requires a deep understanding of ServiceNow architecture, including data models, workflows, and integrations. The position involves configuring and customizing ServiceNow, particularly in relation to Hardware Asset Management (HAM) processes. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to lead workshops and mentor development teams. The role is primarily remote but may require occasional travel for workshops.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deep understanding of ServiceNow architecture (data model, workflows, integrations, and APIs).
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules, Client Scripts).
  • Experience with ServiceNow configuration and customization (UI Policies, UI Actions, Catalog Items).
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow upgrade and release management processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of HAM lifecycle processes (procurement, deployment, maintenance, retirement).
  • Experience configuring HAM modules (Asset Classes, Models, Stockrooms, Transfer Orders).
  • Understanding of HAM integrations (with CMDB, Discovery, Procurement systems).
  • Ability to design HAM governance frameworks (policies, compliance, audit readiness).
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to lead workshops and requirement-gathering sessions.
  • Mentoring and guiding development teams on best practices.
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking for complex enterprise environments.
  • Capability to design scalable and maintainable ServiceNow solutions aligned with best practices.
  • Strong understanding of CMDB architecture and data integrity principles.
