Summary: We are seeking a ServiceNow ITOM expert to design, implement, and manage IT Operations Management capabilities in a global, regulated environment. The role focuses on enhancing the reliability and visibility of IT services through automation and improved incident management. Collaboration with various teams is essential to ensure effective process automation and observability. The position is fully remote and requires strong expertise in ServiceNow ITOM functionalities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement core ServiceNow ITOM capabilities, with a focus on Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and CMDB.
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of the CMDB, including CI discovery, normalization, and relationship mapping.
- Configure and maintain integrations with monitoring and observability tools (eg, Prometheus, Splunk, Elastic or similar).
- Define event correlation rules and alerting strategies to reduce noise and improve incident prioritization.
- Develop and maintain automations and workflows using ServiceNow Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and Scripting (eg, PowerShell, Python).
- Collaborate with Cloud, Infrastructure, and Application teams to map dependencies and support architecture evolution.
- Contribute to incident analysis, root cause investigation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with security, access control, and governance policies.
- Document solutions and support knowledge transfer to operations teams.
Key Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow ITOM (especially Discovery, CMDB, and Event Management).
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems via APIs, MID Server, or IntegrationHub.
- Solid Scripting and automation skills (eg, PowerShell, Python, or JavaScript).
- Understanding of ITIL practices (incident, change, configuration management).
- Ability to model services and understand dependencies across infrastructure and applications.
