ServiceNow GRC Architect - W2 Role

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow GRC Architect to design, implement, and lead enterprise Governance, Risk, and Compliance solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise with ServiceNow GRC/IRM, enterprise architecture, risk and compliance processes, integrations, and ServiceNow development.

The architect will work closely with business, security, audit, risk, compliance, and technology teams to translate business requirements into scalable ServiceNow solutions and establish platform best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect enterprise ServiceNow GRC / Integrated Risk Management (IRM) solutions.
• Lead implementation and enhancement of ServiceNow GRC capabilities, including:
• Risk Management
• Policy & Compliance Management
• Audit Management
• Regulatory Change Management
• Issues and Findings Management
• Controls and Assessments
• Define ServiceNow application architecture, data models, workflows, integrations, and security controls.
• Translate business, risk, audit, and compliance requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Configure and customize ServiceNow GRC/IRM applications using platform best practices.
• Develop workflows, business rules, script includes, client scripts, ACLs, UI policies, and Flow Designer automations as required.
• Design integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise systems such as CMDB, IAM, HR, security, vulnerability management, and third-party GRC platforms.
• Work with stakeholders to define risk and compliance processes, control frameworks, assessment methodologies, and reporting requirements.
• Provide technical leadership to ServiceNow developers and implementation teams.
• Review existing ServiceNow implementations and recommend architecture improvements and optimization opportunities.
• Ensure solutions follow ServiceNow upgrade-safe development and governance standards.
• Support ServiceNow releases, upgrades, testing, troubleshooting, and production deployments.
• Create architecture documentation, technical specifications, integration designs, and implementation guidelines.
• Mentor developers and technical team members on ServiceNow architecture and GRC best practices.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of ServiceNow experience, with significant experience in architecture and enterprise implementations.
• Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow GRC / IRM.
• Experience with Risk Management, Policy & Compliance, Audit Management, Controls, Assessments, and Issues Management.
• Strong understanding of enterprise Governance, Risk & Compliance processes and frameworks.
• Experience designing ServiceNow integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, and web services.
• Strong ServiceNow development knowledge including JavaScript, Business Rules, Script Includes, ACLs, Flow Designer, and UI Policies.
• Experience with CMDB and ServiceNow platform architecture.
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow security, roles, access controls, data segregation, and governance.
• Experience leading ServiceNow implementations from requirements through production deployment.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
• ServiceNow CIS – Integrated Risk Management / GRC certification.
• ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect or other advanced ServiceNow certification.
• Experience with compliance frameworks such as SOX, NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, GDPR, or similar.
• Experience integrating ServiceNow GRC with cybersecurity, vulnerability management, IAM, and enterprise risk platforms.
• Experience with ServiceNow Performance Analytics and reporting.
