Summary: The ServiceNow CMDB/ITOM Solution Architect role involves setting the strategy and execution for optimizing the CMDB, focusing on Discovery, Mapping, CSDM, and ITAM. Key Responsibilities:
- Set the strategy and execution for optimizing the CMDB with a focus on Discovery, Mapping, CSDM, and ITAM.
- Oversee data governance and define the structure of the configuration management system.
- Track compliance to policies and procedures, resolving or escalating compliance issues.
- Review and approve significant IT infrastructure changes.
- Mentor the organization on Configuration Management services, concepts, policies, and procedures.
- Provide and approve all requirements, use cases, and user stories for CMDB functionality improvements.
- Review and approve requests for administrator log on credentials/access rights to the CMS infrastructure.
- Review and publish configuration management reporting and oversee report design, coding, and testing.
Key Skills:
- Experience managing day-to-day ServiceNow CMDB governance and execution, certified in ITOM Visibility.
- Experience in setting strategy and execution to optimize the CMDB.
- Strong communication skills, establishing a RACI, and knowledge of road mapping and project management.
- Experience monitoring a managed Services Provider for data quality and standards.

Job Description
ServiceNow CMDB Product Manager to set the strategy and the execution
leveraging a managed services provider to optimize the CMDB starting
with Discovery and expanding the CMBD to Mapping, CSDM and ITAM
This includes overseeing data governance, defining the structure of
the configuration management system, such as identifying
Configuration Items (CIs), establishing naming standards, defining
relationships, and supervising mapping and discovery activities. The
CMDB Product Manager also tracks compliance to policies and
procedures and resolving / escalating any compliance issues.
In addition,
* Reviews and approves significant IT infrastructure changes to
ensure impacts to configuration management data are properly
addressed
* Mentors the organization on Configuration Management services,
concepts, policies and procedures
* Provides and approves all requirements, use cases, user stories,
etc. in support of new or improving functionality of the CMDB
* Reviews and approves all requests for administrator log on
credentials / access rights to the CMS infrastructure
* Reviews and publishes configuration management reporting and
oversees the design, coding and testing of reports as needed
Top Skills Required
1. Experience managing the day-to-day ServiceNow CMDB governance and
execution and are certified in ITOM Visibility
2. Have experience setting the strategy and the execution to optimize
the CMDB starting with Discovery and planning expansion of the CMBD
to Mapping, CSDM and ITAM
