Summary: The ServiceNow Architect role is primarily focused on hands-on development and Federal Operations & Maintenance (O&M) sustainment, with a smaller portion dedicated to solution architecture and design. The architect will ensure stable operations and high-quality enhancements across various ITSM/ITOM/CSM modules. Key Responsibilities:
- Hands-on development (80%) and solution architecture/design (20%) for ServiceNow.
- Support a large environment across ITSM/ITOM/CSM modules.
- Ensure stable operations, high-quality enhancements, compliant upgrades, and well-governed designs.
- Manage integrations with REST/SOAP, MID Server, and OAuth.
- Conduct upgrades/clones with ATF regression and change governance.
- Communicate impacts, risks, and options to business/technical stakeholders.
- Deliver portal and workspace solutions and manage at least one integration.
- Participate in architecture exposure activities including HLD/LLD, reviews, and guardrails.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering/IT (or related).
- 10+ years of overall IT experience with at least 5+ years in hands-on ServiceNow development/O&M in large environments (preferably Federal).
- Strong JavaScript/Glide, configuration, and data skills.
- Proven experience with Service Portal and Service Operations Workspace configuration.
- Experience with integrations: REST/SOAP, MID Server, OAuth.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Federal O&M experience (production sustainment + upgrades + CAB).
- Certifications: CSA/CAD minimum; CTA preferred.
