Summary: The ServiceNow Architect role involves working remotely within the public sector to document and enhance the ServiceNow environment. The position requires collaboration with IT teams to ensure comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, workflows, and integrations. The ideal candidate will possess strong ServiceNow expertise and technical writing skills to create user-friendly documentation. This role is classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a thorough analysis of the current ServiceNow instance, including workflows, customizations, and integrations.
  • Document all configurations, including incident management, change management, problem management, service catalogue, and knowledge management.
  • Create clear and concise technical documentation for administrators, developers, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop system architecture documentation, including integrations with third-party systems, teams, and workflows.
  • Work with ServiceNow developers, administrators, and business analysts to understand business requirements and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback on existing documentation and improve its quality.
  • Ensure that all documentation is aligned with organizational standards and best practices.

Key Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform, including core modules and custom development.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (preferred).
  • Proven track record of documenting ServiceNow instances.
  • Ability to write clear, detailed, and organized technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, GlideRecord, GlideAjax).
  • Experience with ServiceNow integrations (REST, SOAP, etc.).
  • Familiarity with version control tools and practices.
  • Experience with documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, Microsoft Word).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Collaboration skills to work with various stakeholders.
  • Experience in a large-scale enterprise ServiceNow instance.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow Service Portal and UI/UX design principles.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies as they apply to ServiceNow development.
  • Experience with ServiceNow reporting and performance analytics.
