Summary: The role of Service Designer involves shaping user-focused public services through design activities within multidisciplinary teams. The position requires a skilled individual to improve service experiences using evidence and empathy, while working at SFIA Level 4. The role is remote with monthly travel to client sites and offers SC clearance sponsorship. This is a two-year contract with a focus on agile delivery and accessibility standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and improve end-to-end service journeys using user research and design tools.
  • Create service blueprints, journey maps, and prototypes.
  • Facilitate workshops and engage stakeholders across departments.
  • Ensure services meet accessibility and GDS standards.
  • Work independently within a defined framework, contributing to agile delivery.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in service design, ideally in the public sector.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency with tools like jira, gitlab, or similar.
  • Understanding of user-centred design and agile methodologies.

Security Clearance: Active SC or eligible to obtain

About the Role

We're looking for a skilled Service Designer to help shape public services that are user-focused, inclusive, and effective. Working at SFIA Level 4, you'll be a part of design activities within multidisciplinary teams, using evidence and empathy to improve service experiences. SC clearance sponsorship is available, a good opportunity to step into the security-cleared Public Sector world.
