Summary: The role of Service Designer involves working remotely for a global IT consultancy, focusing on delivering high-quality service design with a strong emphasis on Government Digital Service (GDS) experience. The contract is rolling for three months, with a competitive daily rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead service design projects with clients, delivering outcomes rather than just outputs.
- Produce high-quality service design and user experience artefacts such as personas, user journeys, prototypes, and blueprints.
- Synthesize user insights, market data, and global trends to enhance user experiences.
- Engage in usability testing to iterate ideas and designs continuously.
- Run workshops with clients and present deliverables to senior stakeholders.
Key Skills:
- Experience of GDS/Government Digital services.
- Extensive experience on government programmes.
- Thorough knowledge of design thinking and user-centred design.

My client is a global leading IT consultancy. They are on the hunt for a Service Designer with proven Government Digital Service (GDS) experience.
Key Skills and 'must have' experience:
- Experience of GDS/Government Digital services
- Extensive experience on government programmes
- Thorough knowledge of design thinking and user-centred design
- Experience leading service design projects with clients delivering outcomes, not just outputs
- Experience producing high-quality service design and user experience artefacts such as personas, user journeys, prototypes, and blueprints.
- An ability to synthesise user insights, market data and global trends - and turning them into great user experiences
- Collaborative mindset to work with clients and developers to bring designs to life, balancing user needs, business requirements and technical constraints
- Ability to engage in usability testing to continuously iterate ideas and designs
- Keen interest in UX design best practices and trends, and how to incorporate these into deliverables
- Experience running workshops with our clients and present deliverables to senior stakeholders
