Summary: The NCA is seeking a Service Architect for a 6-month remote contract, requiring occasional office visits. The role demands SC Clearance and involves collaborating with various teams to develop a comprehensive Service Support Model and manage service design and transition processes. Key responsibilities include customer engagement, financial modeling, and producing necessary documentation for service delivery. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Service Design & Transition Practice and Project and Programme Manager.
  • Provide a fully described Service Support Model via a Service Design Pack (SDP) for selected projects.
  • Support requirement gathering via workshops with customers.
  • Create "building blocks" associated with a project.
  • Engage with customers to gather and agree on processes.
  • Identify gaps in the provision of the Service.
  • Conduct financial modeling.
  • Identify interdependencies between the SIAM & DDaT ecosystem.
  • Produce required artefacts for Service Design and Transition.
  • Provide weekly and monthly progress updates.
  • Manage IT Asset Management and Configuration Management.
  • Produce relevant Knowledge Articles.
  • Document the scope of the project (Service elements).
  • Produce the Building Blocks (Service Components) that make up the Service.
  • Produce a Service Design Pack.
  • Take the Service Design through to successful Operational Readiness Review (ORR).
  • Translate customer and business requirements into E-2-E Service Design (SDP).
  • Follow the Service Design & Transition Practice's process and gain approval for transition into Business-As-Usual (BAU).
  • Support project manager with impact analysis of system and regulatory changes.
  • Build a close working relationship with Operations teams to ensure service delivery meets Target Service Levels and KPIs.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in service architecture and design.
  • Strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM).
  • Ability to gather and analyze customer requirements.
  • Financial modeling skills.
  • Knowledge of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Operational Level Agreements (OLAs).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience with Service Design and Transition practices.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
  • SC Clearance or willingness to undergo checks.

Detailed Description From Employer:

On behalf of the NCA, we are looking for a Service Architect (Inside IR35) for a 6 Month remote contract with occasional visits to the office circa twice per month.

Note: SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position, (and speed at which we require a postholder in situ), preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance

Service Architect role -

Collaborating with the Service Design & Transition Practice and the Project and Programme Manager, the ITSM resource will work autonomously to include the provision of:
. A fully described Service Support Model via a Service Design Pack (SDP) for selected projects
. Support Requirement gathering via workshops with customers
. Creation of "building blocks" associated to a project
. Customer engagement (to gather and agree processes)
. Identification of gaps in the provision of the Service
. Financial modelling
. Identification of interdependencies between the SIAM & DDaT eco system
. Production of any required artefacts required by Service Design and Transition
. Weekly and monthly progress and updates
. IT Asset Management and Config Management
. Production of relevant Knowledge Articles

The core milestones will be:
. Document the scope of the project (Service elements)
. Produce the Building Blocks (Service Components) that make up the Service
. Produce a Service Design Pack
. Take the Service Design through to successful ORR

Detailed Responsibilities:
. Responsible for the translation of customer requirements, business requirements and contractual obligations into E-2-E Service Design (SDP) that describes the scope of services, delivery model(s), people, processes, Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and supporting Operational Level Agreements (OLAs) to provide the basic for transition into Business-As- Usual (BAU).
. Follows the Service Design & Transition Practice's process utilising the key artefacts to capture and present the E-2-E Service Design at the Operational Readiness Review, gaining approval to proceed into Early Life Support (ELS) and delivery into BAU.
. Supports the project manager with impact analysis of system and regulatory changes, understanding service risks, dependencies and issues. Highlighting to the project manager the impact that these may have on the project, whilst mitigating those with their scope.
. Build a close working relationship with the Operations teams to ensure that all implemented and/or changed E-2-E Services are capable of delivering to Target Service Levels and KPIs.
