Summary: The role of Service Architect focuses on designing and implementing a production-ready Observability Operating Model for a significant digital transformation initiative within a large enterprise. The architect will integrate modern monitoring and AIOps tools to create a cohesive observability service that enhances technical teams and delivers value to business units. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure compliance and operational readiness. The engagement is for a duration of four months and is classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Observability Service Architecture: Design a service-aligned structure that brings together the observability toolset into a consistent, scalable, and supportable platform.
- Automation & AIOps Integration: Define processes to support automated monitoring and intelligent operations; ensure service requirements are Embedded in use-case development.
- Operational Processes & Controls: Define governance, KPIs, and SLAs to support a seamless transition to BAU. Design the operating model required to manage and run the new service, including compliance readiness.
- Security Integration: Work with internal security stakeholders to ensure the observability service meets relevant security standards and risk requirements.
- Onboarding Framework: Develop a process to ensure that new projects and services are designed with observability in mind, and that all outputs are properly monitored and costed within governance frameworks.
- Process & Integration Assessment: Review existing service integration processes, identify gaps or areas for improvement, and align recommendations with wider programme and PMO structures.

The organisation is building out its observability capability through the deployment of a modern suite of monitoring and AIOps tools. The goal is to develop these into a cohesive and scalable Observability Service that supports technical teams and provides value to business Centres of Excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Observability Service Architecture: Design a service-aligned structure that brings together the observability toolset into a consistent, scalable, and supportable platform.
Automation & AIOps Integration: Define processes to support automated monitoring and intelligent operations; ensure service requirements are Embedded in use-case development.
